I'm still stripping paint on the second floor. I put the paint-removal project on the back patio/kitchen brick on break for a while, which seems to encourage focused, short-term goals more than a whirlwind of projects that may never get done; or at least won't get done until the beginning has been forgotten. The problem of starting numerous projects before finishing a previous project is created by wanting to do work wherever I am. If I'm on the first floor, then I'm going to want to pull down masonite and firring strips; if I'm on the second floor, then I'm going to peel paint and pull off baseboard. Focus is an important part of any long-term project, and whether or not I'm still here in two years, I'm willing to imagine it.
I love this city, and since my house is in it, I might as well love my house.

Hello!
I don't know why I hadn't thought of this before, but after almost a year of living at and remodeling 5335 Keystone St., it's time to start documenting it.
I guess my first official post will come later, as I've got to go build some wheels and waste my day at work.
Bye for now,
todd
